.....New Serenity Prayer.....

God grant mothers in the work place
And home based working mothers serenity.
My prayer is to accept the things I can not change
Like hearing my child whimper as I teleconference with a client;
Caring for an aging parent;
Practicing patience around a mound of laundry and scattered toys.
Courage to change the things I can
Including refinancing my mortgage and
The school meeting about my "not working up to potential" child.
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time.
Staying awake long enough to be in the moment.
Juggling financial hardship yet providing for my children.
Taking this world as it is,
Not as I would have it for my family, friends and loved ones.
Loving and respecting myself as if I were my neighbor.
Trusting the process that is my journey
To abundant health in body, mind, spirit and finances.
Spending time at play everyday
So that I may be reasonably happy, content,
Interested and interesting all the days of my life.
